Beth & Tyler’s wedding at Sugar Loaf Barn, Abergavenny | South Wales Wedding Videographer
Being a wedding videographer based in South Wales takes me to some pretty amazing venues and I get to film some great days. Beth and Tyler’s wedding at Sugar Loaf Barn in Abergavenny was one of those proper feel-good ones. It had that perfect mix of stunning views, laid-back vibes, and a ton of laughter thanks to their brilliant friends and family.
A Rustic Beauty in the Brecon Beacons
Sugar Loaf Barn is one of those venues that just hits different. Tucked away in the Welsh mountains just outside Abergavenny, it’s a proper rustic-luxe barn set on a working farm with incredible views of Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Brecon Beacons all around. We’re talking 200 acres of rolling hills, orchards, meadows, and woodland. From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be a good one.
It’s got that cool, authentic farm feel with exposed beams, massive barn doors, and a handmade bar that’s perfect for a proper party. Beth and Tyler’s wedding felt right at home here. Relaxed, personal, and full of character. If you’re after a Brecon Beacons barn wedding or something with real mountain soul near Abergavenny, this place nails it.
Beth & Tyler’s Wedding Day
Beth and Tyler brought such genuine warmth and happiness to the day. You could tell they were surrounded by people who really love them, and it showed in every moment. From the smiles during the ceremony to the big hugs and happy tears. It was one of those weddings where everything just flowed naturally, and the barn’s flexible, welcoming space made it all feel so them. The outdoor ceremony with views of sugar loaf mountain was incredible!
The Real Stars: Their Friends & Family
What made filming this day such a blast was the crew that showed up for Beth and Tyler. Their friends and family didn’t hold back. They brought the energy, the love, and the laughs in bucketloads.
The dance floor was buzzing pretty much all night. We had grandparents getting involved, uni mates going wild, and loads of those brilliant moments where everyone’s just having the best time together. The speeches were brilliant too - funny stories, proper emotional bits, and loads of warmth that had the whole barn smiling (and occasionally dabbing their eyes).
Outdoors it was just as good, people chilling by the fire pit, chatting on the lawn with those epic mountain views in the background, and loads of natural, happy interactions that made the day feel more like a big family gathering than a formal wedding. Everyone really showed up and made it special. They hired a singer (James Williams) who absolutely smashed the vocals and got everyone dancing during the receptions drinks and then before dinner too!
Why Sugar Loaf Barn is perfect for Weddings
This place is brilliant if you want a wedding that feels connected to nature but still has all the comforts. Family-run, sustainable touches, and that “your day, your way” attitude meant Beth and Tyler could make it totally their own. The views, the space, and the relaxed atmosphere made it ideal for a proper Welsh celebration.
Capturing It All
As their South Wales wedding videographer, days like this are why I love what I do. The natural light pouring into the barn, those breathtaking mountain backdrops, and all the real, joyful moments from their guests gave me loads of beautiful footage to play with. Some of the staff took Beth & Tyler, Myself and the Photographer up to the top of the mountain with a bottle of champagne so we could capture the couple enjoy the sunset in style!
The final film really shows the heart of their day. Emotional, fun, and full of love.
